A graduate of the University of Detroit Law School, Cullen McKinney is a founding partner and litigation attorney at Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney & Garbarino, PLLC in Detroit, representing medical professionals and hospitals in malpractice cases. Cullen McKinney belongs to the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Managers (MSHRM).
A professional organization, MSHRM reviews insurance-related, educational, and political issues to support the healthcare industry. In addition, the society publishes a resource directory each year so that members can network and share ideas with each other about relevant matters.
An annual event sponsored by MSHRM is its conference. The 2018 edition took place in May at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa in Acme. This gathering featured a new-member breakfast, mock deposition, and panel discussion. Attendees had an opportunity to participate in an outing at the Spruce Run Golf Course. They also had the chance to obtain a total of nine hours of continuing education credit.
