A lawyer serving clients around Detroit, Michigan, and other states, Cullen Mckinney founded Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney & Dwaihy, PLLC (TNMD) in 2009. Cullen McKinney received his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (Mercy).

Founded in 1912, Mercy provides more than just theoretical and practical education in diverse legal specialties. Its philosophy of educating the whole lawyer instills students with current knowledge of local and global legal trends and an unwavering commitment to ethics, guided by Jesuit principles. Its over 9,000 alumni worldwide support current students during job hunting and placement, in whichever field they choose to practice.

Mercy’s curriculum comprises of courses that simulate real-world settings where students may practice, combined with real-world experience. Classes pertain to subjects like small business and real estate law, with individual and group assignments and feedback mimicking those in their respective subject.

Mercy’s mini-clinics for lower classmen, and clinics for upper classmen, serve two purposes. Local attorneys and judges mentor students with pragmatic knowledge, and students provide legal services to people who may not receive it otherwise.
