Golf is associated with high standards of safety, so long as simple guidelines are adhered to. Even though it’s considered a low-impact sport, injuries can occur. To prevent yourself and others from getting hurt, observe a few safety tips. 1. Golf carts come with a safety label that you should read and understand. For instance, you shouldn’t hang your feet out of the cart when it’s moving. Also, avoid driving the cart at full speed, and never allow young children to drive. 2. Use golf safety equipment, such as gloves to ensure the golf club doesn’t slip out of your hands and cause injuries. Gloves can alsoprotect against blisters. In addition, golf shoes with plastic spikes are sufficient for preventing slipping. Most golf courses prohibit shoes with metal spikes. 3. Do not swing your golf club harder or faster than necessary, as you risk stressing your joints. It’s advisable to take a nice, comfortable and smooth swing to strike the ball.
